Koha is the first free software library automation package. In use worldwide, its development is steered by a growing community of users collaborating to achieve their technology goals. Koha’s feature set continues to evolve and expand to meet the needs of its user base.

  3. Special Collections - Manuscripts, Rare Books, Memorabilia
  4. Journals - Journals, Newspapers, magazines.
  5. Theses and Dissertations -Printed and digitized theses of undergraduate and graduate and dissertations.
  6. Maps - Philippines Map, World Maps, Local Maps
  7. Audio-Visual Materials - CD's and DVD
  8. New AcquisitionNew Acquisition - List of Newly Acquired books.
STEPS OF CHARGING AND DISCHARGING BOOKS
  1. Contact the Librarian thru the Facebook page
  2. Ask for the availability of the book.
  3. Ask for your borrower's card from the Librarian/ Library Staff. Please take note that Borrowers' cards are non-transferable.
  4. Fill in the information needed in the borrower's card (title of the book, accession number, date borrowed, and date due).
  5. Write your name on the book card.
  6. The library user shall fill in all other information.
  7. Ask for a gate pass.
STEPS FOR REFERRAL FOR INTERLIBRARY LOAN
  1. Ask the Librarian for the specific title needed.
  2. The Librarian will inquire about the availability of the books from a different library.
  3. Letter of consent to be sent to the Librarian to borrow the specific title.
BORROWING & RETURNING

The library collections are open to all stakeholders of Central Mindanao Colleges. Continuously provide library materials that suit the needs of every program.

The procedure of charging and discharging books.

  1. Find the books on the shelves or in the database system.
  2. Ask for your borrower's card from the Librarian/ Library Staff.

DRIVE-THRU LOANING SERVICES

These services are offered to CMCian students who want to borrow books.

PHOTOCOPY
  1. Photocopying of periodicals and chapters from books may be allowed for personal use depending on the amount and substantiality of the portion copied
  2. Unauthorized photocopying of archival materials, including these and yearbooks, is strictly prohibited.
REFERRAL FOR INTERLIBRARY LOAN

This service is open to all students who wish to borrow books from another library if the title is not available in our library. A referral may vary with the consent of the Librarian from a specific school.

SUGGEST FOR BOOK PURCHASE

This portion is open to all teachers who suggest books as their reference. The Librarian shall provide a purchase form template.

THE CENTRAL MINDANAO COLLEGES LIBRARY

Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) Library is major academic support access to the CMC academic community. The CMC Library consists of the College and Graduate Libraries and the Integrated Basic Education (IBED) Library.

The CMC library is the center of study and research open to all bonafide students, faculty members, staff, non-teaching personnel, and alumni of Central Mindanao Colleges. It welcomes visiting students and faculty from other educational institutions, subject to the approval of the Administration.

CMC LIBRARY PHILOSOPHY AND OBJECTIVES

The College Library is an integral part of the institutional program of Central Mindanao Colleges in providing quality education in Mindanao. The services are geared towards implementing the general program and are committed to enabling students, faculty, and staff to achieve academic excellence and intellectual growth.

As the "brain center" of the institution, the frequent, informed, and productive use of the libraries is encouraged.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
  • To teach and encourage the students, faculty, and staff to maximize the library resources effectively and promote professional development and interest in the library.
  • To acquire updated library materials that support the college's institutional mission, vision, and values.
  • To create a technology replacement plan for the library equipment.
  • To collaborate with other libraries and educational institutions to strengthen resources and services available to students, faculty, staff, and other library users.
