GENERAL RULES
- All Library users should be in proper attire:
- Students should be in school uniform with ID.
- Non – students should be in proper dress.
- Wearing of caps inside the library is prohibited.
- Bags and bulky items must be entrusted for safekeeping to the staff at the charging desk. This rule applies to all, including faculty members. Being a friend of the Librarian is not reason for exemption from this rule.
- Ask for your borrower's card from the Librarian/ Library Staff. Please take note that Borrowers' cards are non-transferable.
- All library users are advised to bring with them their valuable things such as money,cellphones, jewelry, etc. the Library will not assume responsibility for their loss.
- Library users are required to log in before entering the Library.
- The Library is used for studying and research work. The following should be observed while in the library:
- Orderliness and cleanliness should be observed at all times.
- All materials should be handled with care.
- Seat reservations are not allowed. Anything left on the reading tables for this purpose shall be removed by the Head Librarian/ Library Staff to make room for other users.
- Any misuse of the library facilities or behavior that interferes with the proper use and management of the library is not permitted. Serious offense will be liable for further action.
- Everyone is always expected to observe silence.
- Cell phones and other gadgets should be turned off /silent mode.
- Phone calls should be entertained outside the library.
- Idle conversations, discussions, loud laughter and unnecessary noise must be avoided.
- Chairs should be returned to proper places quietly after using.
- Eating, drinking, smoking, and sleeping are NOT ALLOWED inside the Library.
RULES ON CIRCULATION
- The library has adopted an “open shelf system” to allow students free access to its collections.
- To borrow library materials, everyone is required to secure a borrower’s card form the librarian at the main section of the library. Submit one (1) I.D. picture. A Borrower’s card is NON-TRANSFERABLE.
- The following materials are to be read only inside the library.
- General and subject reference books
- Periodical Materials
- Theses, Dissertations and Comprehensive Reports
- Vertical Files and other non- book materials
- Maximum number of books that may be borrowed.
- Stacks and Browsing Books
- Undergraduate and Graduate Students are allowed borrow three (3) books at one time for a period of (1) week.
- CMC faculty members
- They are allowed to borrow 2 books to be used as their references in teaching, provided that there is an extra copy to be used by the students.
- Teachers should inform the Librarian of the books they are using so that the book will be put in the reserved area for students to use.
- At the end of the semester, teachers are required to return all the books they have borrowed.
- Reserved books
- May be read within the reading area only. A one – hour limit reading/ use the reserved book is strictly imposed. The reader will have to return it to the counter after the time allotted. If nobody puts in a request for the book you may borrow it again.
- Reserved books may be borrowed for a short period of time.
- Photocopy of books start from 7:30am – 4:30 pm and given only thirty minutes (30) allotted time.
- Overnight loan starts at 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and books should be returned the following day from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
- Failure to return books will be subjected to fine per hour.
- This rule will be strictly enforced to assure availability of books to all students.
- Non-CMC community members shall be required to pay for a certain amount.

Notes: Student researchers from other institutions are required to present recommendation and request letter from their school librarians.
FINES AND PENALTY
- Circulation, Filipiniana and Fiction books – P1.00 for each day including Saturday and Sunday except holidays
- Reserved books – Php 2.00 per hour including Saturday and Sunday and Holiday.
- Lost books – when a book is lost, the borrower is given a grace period and when the book is not returned after the grace period, the student has to pay for the cost of the book in addition to the daily fines.
- Php 5.00 a day for books not returned after the deadline set before the end of the semester/ Christmas break/summer period.
- Taking out periodicals and thesis from the library – twice the current value of the periodical taken out.
- Students with overdue books will be barred from borrowing for one week.
- Any Library users who shall tear, deface, mutilate or steal library property shall be penalized; the extent of the damage shall be determined by the Librarian.
- Fines must be paid at the Finance Office.
Notes: Anybody who violates the Library Rules and Regulations are subjected to disciplinary action. Observance of these rules is expected and appreciated.

The Central Mindanao Colleges Center for Learning Resource and Information
The Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) Center for Learning Resource and Information (CLRI) serves as a fundamental academic resource, readily available to the entire CMC academic community. Comprising the Senior High School (SHS),College and Graduate, it forms a comprehensive network that supports a wide spectrum of educational needs.
As the nexus of study and research at CMC, the CLRI is open to all bona fide students, faculty members, staff, non-teaching personnel, and alumni of Central Mindanao Colleges. Additionally, it extends a warm welcome to visiting students and faculty from other educational institutions, subject to administrative approval. This inclusive approach fosters a collaborative educational environment that enhances academic pursuits and encourages cross-institutional knowledge exchange.
Philosophy and Objectives
The College Library is an integral part of the institutional program of Central Mindanao Colleges in providing quality education in Mindanao. Its services are geared towards implementing the general program and committed to the purpose of enabling students, faculty and staff to achieve academic excellence and intellectual growth.
As the “brain center” of the institution, the frequent, judicious and productive use of the libraries is encouraged.
Specific Objectives:
- To teach and encourage the students, faculty and staff to maximize the use of the library resources effectively and to encourage professional development and interest in the library.
- To acquire updated library materials that supports the institutional mission, vision and values of the college.
- To create a technology replacement plan for the library equipment.
- To collaborate with other libraries and educational institutions to strengthen resources and services to be made available to students, faculty, staff and other library users.
